Dalia, a story about the pursuit for happiness

We at JRS Romania are always welcoming migrants to seek us when in need, and we try our best always to be there for them, with more than an advice, a hot meal or a place to rest, with the best we have to give: our hearts.

This year we had the chance to meet a wonderful student from Lebanon, seeking advice from our organization. While attending at our office she was so engaged about our work that she volunteered to help us, mainly when we needed an interpreter. In a short period of time she was able to fit in our team of volunteers and we were thrilled that we had her in our office.
Shortly after she had the opportunity to get into an Erasmus program and went for studies to Malta. We could only be happy for her choice because we knew we had an office of JRS in Malta.
We helped Dalia with a simple letter of recommendation for her at the JRS Malta, and in return this is what we just received from her, a message meant to warm our heart with joy:
“Dear sir,
I am at the best situation I can ever be and a great job that I have been dreaming of.
Thanks to you and due to your efforts that I appreciate loads you have changed my life to a better one.
The team here is wonderful, warm and caring just like in JRS Romania, I am enjoying every single minute I spend here and learning meaningfully which I will be eager to share when I am back to your office in Romania.
Everyone here sends you his greetings especially Roxan, Katerin and Kristina.
Best regards
Dalia”

Dalia got an internship at the JRS Malta office and seems that she’s having the time of her life there.
We are more than happy for her and we wish her all the best in the future.
