Strategic Framework
A shared direction, put into practice in Romania
JRS Romania guides its work by the JRS Europe strategic framework, adapting shared priorities to the needs of refugees and migrants and to the realities of the communities where we work. This framework helps us set the direction of our programmes, develop partnerships and connect day-to-day support with the changes needed in the long term.
Protection, participation and opportunities for people rebuilding their lives
The 2026–2030 Strategic Framework sets the shared direction of the JRS network in Europe. It pursues three directions: protection and inclusion, people’s autonomy in the decisions that affect their lives, and building communities based on justice and reconciliation.
- 01Protection and inclusion
- 02Autonomy in the decisions that affect people’s lives
- 03Communities based on justice and reconciliation
Access to protection
Safe and legal pathways for people seeking refuge, access to legal assistance and respect for rights.
Inclusion and integration
Opportunities to participate in the community, access to work and livelihoods that support independence.
Rights of people in administrative detention
Accompanying people deprived of their liberty and developing alternatives to detention.
Advocacy and public awareness
Influencing policy, countering disinformation and engaging communities in overcoming prejudice towards refugees and migrants.
To support these priorities, the framework includes developing teams, using resources responsibly, evaluating our work, community participation and strengthening partnerships.
