JRS Romania announces the launch of the web page for the European project FinEd4NPOs – Women’s Financial Health: Training for NPOs, an initiative that aims to improve financial literacy among women with fewer opportunities, including migrants, refugees and people at risk of losing their homes.
The project runs for 17 months. It helps staff of non-governmental organisations, community leaders and volunteers to provide financial information and guidance to the people they support. Through practical tools and non-formal education methods, the project aims to help women better understand their financial situation and make more informed decisions.
What does the project aim to do?
FinEd4NPOs contributes to:
💶 developing a financial education programme adapted to women in vulnerable situations;
📱 improving digital financial skills and the ability to manage personal finances;
🤝 training NGO staff, volunteers and community leaders to run financial education activities;
📚 producing materials and resources that can still be used after the project ends.
Project activities include research into existing needs, identifying difficulties related to financial education, developing a practical curriculum, organising training sessions and evaluating the results.
A European partnership
The project is implemented by organisations from Austria, Romania and Hungary:
- FLiP GmbH, Austria, project coordinator and an organisation specialising in financial education;
- JRS Romania;
